For hours, there is absolute emptiness; nothing stirs, and I dream of the perfect moment. Until suddenly, a fox skillfully leaps out from the dense underbrush into the open—exactly where I had planned it. The background, foreground, and lighting are perfect, and I take several shots. Then I move very slowly away from the viewfinder so I can look into this wonderful animal’s eyes.
Thanks to my camouflage and the right wind direction, the fox doesn’t recognize me as a human and can continue living its fox life undisturbed. These are the moments that keep bringing me back to nature. :)

I am 19 years old and live with my family on the outskirts of Berlin, in a village surrounded by fields and forests. On foot or by bike, I have been exploring nature with my camera almost every day for the past seven years.
Most of the time, I head out early in the morning while it’s still dark and wait, camouflaged, for several hours at a carefully chosen spot.
I love the feeling of disappearing into nature and no longer being perceived as a human by the animals. Being able to observe and photograph their natural behavior makes me happy, and every time I feel just how deeply I love nature and all its creatures.

I think I was only 9 or 10 years old when I started going into nature more and more on my own. Back then, I was especially fascinated by our native birds.
I would spend hours enthusiastically observing their behavior, collecting feathers, listening to their calls, and learning to identify their species.
From my fascination with nature, a growing desire developed to photograph animals as well as possible.
I was overjoyed when, after two years, I was finally able to fulfill my dream and buy my first camera with a telephoto lens.
Nowadays, rarely an hour goes by without me thinking about wildlife photography. I am constantly trying to bring different
ideas to life, and I love creatively and artistically capturing my subjects.
